Steele County Historical Society
Are you interested in learning more about Steele County and its history? Are you looking for a fun day out with the family that won't break the bank? Well the Steele County Historical Society may be just what you're looking for!

The Society is made up of three sites:
- the History Center, with our exhibit hall, research room, and gift shop
​
- the Village of Yesteryear, with 19 historic buildings and tours given Tuesday - Sunday at 1:30 pm
​
- the Orphanage Museum, with exhibit spaces, the historic Cottage 11, and guided tours given daily
Open Hours:
History Center:
Tuesday - Friday: 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday: 10 am - 3 pm

Village of Yesteryear:
Open to walk through Year Round
Tours (May 1 - Sept 30): Tuesday - Sunday at 1:30 pm

Orphanage Museum (Main Building):
Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
Saturday and Sunday: 1 pm - 5 pm

Cottage 11 (Closed January & February):
March 1 - April 30: 1 - 3 pm
May 1 - Labor Day: 1 - 4 pm
Labor Day - December 31: 1 - 3 pm
